mikelbolton
I didn't use the rattle-can plasti-dip... Mine was HVLP, once the gun was setup it was fine. Real nice spray pattern, didn't tape off the car, and clean up was super easy. I did figure out that goo gone is not good for it... but the cool thing is, that if I ever get tired of it, I can just peel it off. 2011 Chevrolet Aveo(click for build log)Clarion NX-603SKAR 4500.1DIraggi 320A alt Knukonceptz 1/0 Kollosus Fleks Cable8 AWG Sky High Car Audio OFC 1/0- Sky High Car Audio 2- XP3000 XS Power BatteriesSMD VM-12- 12" Ascendant Audio Mayhems Toolmaker Fuse block Toolmaker Bus Bars (Last Season scores 1-15" Mayhem) 145.2 dB- Sealed @ NSPL World Finals (9/28/14) 148.1 dB- Hardcore @ NSPL World Finals (9/27/14) 150.23-- Hardcore on 4500 Watts!!!! mikelbolton
Well, 2 trips to the dealer in one week, and I get home and the car is still not fixed. Plus I paid $60 towards a rental, but the "repairs" were under warranty. Also, kinda pissed that I dropped the car off without the key in the system, but everything working. I pick the car up and my mids/high amp is continually in protect mode. I'm beyond irked at this point. I'm stripping all of my system out of the car on its return trip. One more chance, and if they can't fix this P0420 then we're going to have a long talk about replacing the car.... Aveo has 44800 miles on it. It was taken to dealership back in January for the same code. At which time they replaced MAF (broken pin in connector), and Catalytic converter (had hit 2200° and melted). Last Saturday, they had the car half the day, called to tell me that there was no reason for a P0420 and they reset the CEL. I told them that this had been reset 3 times prior. 50 miles from dealership (it's an hr away), the light returned. I called Monday and was told to drop the car back off. I dropped it off on Thursday, was given a '13 Impala as a rental, and had to buy insurance for $20/day... They called Friday afternoon and said it would be ready that evening. I didn't get off work in time to pick it up then, and picked it up Saturday. I had to pay $60 for "insurance" on a rental, and the car was "fixed"... They replaced 02 sensors, and that "fixed" the problem for all of 50 miles. Immediately, my mids/highs amp went into protect where it has remained. I had no tools to diagnose it there... so I waited until I got home, all my speakers ohm'd out correct, power and ground seem to be fine. I disconnected RCA's and speaker wires to check amp and it stays in protect... Now, I'm pissed... I'll be dropping the car off at the dealer again, after Thanksgiving... I don't know how much longer I can play nice... P.S.- I made them correct the paperwork, because they had that my "aftermarket generator" was causing the SES light to illuminate. I told them that was heinous, and it made the brake and battery light illuminate, but that was of no concern, and my battery charged fine... 2011 Chevrolet Aveo(click for build log)Clarion NX-603SKAR 4500.1DIraggi 320A alt Knukonceptz 1/0 Kollosus Fleks Cable8 AWG Sky High Car Audio OFC 1/0- Sky High Car Audio 2- XP3000 XS Power BatteriesSMD VM-12- 12" Ascendant Audio Mayhems Toolmaker Fuse block Toolmaker Bus Bars (Last Season scores 1-15" Mayhem) 145.2 dB- Sealed @ NSPL World Finals (9/28/14) 148.1 dB- Hardcore @ NSPL World Finals (9/27/14) 150.23-- Hardcore on 4500 Watts!!!!
