Vikki Carlos Nicholas Gomez Posted August 23, 2012 Author Report Posted August 23, 2012 It has 4*6 so do blazers, s-10 I was just wondering what some people did to fit 5.25 cause I want to do the same
Chris Hammer Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Sometimes stock speakers have a big trim ring on em. I did a car..i can't remember what it was for the life of me right now...but it had small 4x6 in what seemed to be an opening originally designed for 6x9's. The speakers had a 2inch+ trim ring that bolted in. Maybe something similar is in the chevy's and you can actually fit 5.25's in it. Take the stock ones out and look. Im sure if anything the worst you will have to do is a little dremel persuasion. 412 CVX Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Oh so you're trying to fit different sized speakers than stock? well cut out the metal so the speaker will fit first off. then take some quarter inch thick wood and fab up some custom mounts Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.
