Double Check Ohm Loads?....

Recommended Posts

well i was just outside wirein up my 16 mids and highs to my new kicker amp,

im runnin 4 per ch and at 4 ohm per ch.

just double check my ohms and see if im doing it properly,

4 speakers 4 ohm each im takeing 2 and wireing them pos to pos and neg to neg and doing the same with the other 2 and then once i have all 4 wired in pairs i take the pos of one pair and the neg of the other pair and connect and tape them off and that leaves me with one pos and one neg and a final 4 ohm load ?.... am i doing it rite?

Thats correct! lol. 2 4 ohm speakers in parallel = 2 Ohm Take another 2 wires at 2 ohms and run them in seirce to get 4 ohms total.
