Alternator amps

Recommended Posts

i dont think you will hafta add a battery.... replace your starting battery with a nice car audio agm battery try for the biggest you can fit.

and your buddy probably dims because he either didnt do the big 3 or something is up with his wiring somewhere ( not trying to say anything bad) maybe wrong size wire/bad ground/ not keeping the alt speed up and getting dimming at idle ( which will happen on any stock alt with that power)

i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it

Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. If I had a whole Hertz front stage my ears would jizz all over my cheeks.

The OP is talking about having his stock alt re wound for more amps not getting a new alt

I would not do this for a daily drive when you "pump" up a stock alt you lose all output at idle meaning you car/truck will be only running on batt juice at stop lights and what not you would be surprized how long you sit at idle with normal driving idle = no charge = lights dimming loss of output and stress on your batt

Have you ever had your woofers blown?
