ineeDBass419 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 if your using wmp just watch for flat spots..you will know when you see it xbox 360 gamertag-greenrocks420 Not insulting you or anything, but did you just call us "bloody winging fairies" ?
kl0wn Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Just a question though.. Why are you so concerned about clipping in a song? It isn't going to hurt anything to play a clipped song every once in a while. People do it all the time without knowing it. If the song looks like the image above, and you play the entire song full tilt..you'll more than likely smell some coil, but that would be a good indication to turn it down. 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz
soundstream15 Posted August 30, 2012 Author Report Posted August 30, 2012 wasn't sure how big of a issue it was man thanks for letting me know=)
kl0wn Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 All clipping is, is making the sub not work to its full potential so it can not cool properly. It isn't something that will magically blow your coils or anything. Of course it is something to worry about with all this money we spend on our equipment. But if a song is clipped, it's not like if you play it, you WILL blow/fry something. Keep your nose open for the coils while playing. If you think something is wrong with the song, check it out and see how flat it gets. Just be smart while playing your system, and you won't run into problems. 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz

Baydestrian Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Yupp, I played clipped music but like said above be smart with the volume and use your ears. IMO Clipped Kicks aren't too bad, its when you have a clipped bass line thats somethin to watch out for. LOL I just Googled that Evil Pimp song and dl'd an mp3 of it, that song is clean and loud, I can tell just by watching it in WMP. This song is audibly distorted like Swing My Door: 2015 Mazda 6 JVF Customz 4.0 Proto 15>Wolfram W4500 @ .5ohm 2 Sundown Neo 6.5 + 2 CT Meso Tweeters (Front) x Kicker KS6.5 (Rear)>JL Audio VX400/4i NSB-AMG35 (front) / 40ah Lithium Headway (Rear) built by Erni Audio & Electrical
