Redcorn245 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 im not sure what the problem is. i have a soundstream rubicon 2500d, a kinetic hc1400 and hc600. pushing two alpine type xs. i have stinger 1/0 gauge ran throughout and big three is done. i heard some ground noise when i would turn the jeep off. i screwed my ground wire down better and it helped but its kind of still there. the problem im having is the amp also plays bass through the subs when it shouldn't. like when people are talking or like when there is like a kick drum or high hat type sound its really weird and really dirty sounding. any help woukdbnt be appreciated. thanks guys/ gals

Masshole891 Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 ^^ Yea it sounds like your lpf isn't set or working properly. I'm pretty sure subs play kick drum notes (at least mine does and sounds clean), but obviously it should not be playing vocals lol.
john253a Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 fist, how is the earth fitted to car, DONT use a self tapper or screw, sand back the area to bare metal and bolt it, and if you can use a factory bolt point rca leads where are they, DONT run then next to your power wire, run them either on the other side of car, or even bette up the middle check all you wire are in correctly and no strays pieces of wire are out of terminal what is you lpf set at, try 70-80 as a good starting point and bass boost down low if not off,
Redcorn245 Posted August 30, 2012 Author Report Posted August 30, 2012 ok yea maybe the lpf is to high. but i did grind down the ground spot and i screwed it down tight with like 3 screws. would it matter if i grounded the amp to the kinetic and then ground the kinetic to the frame. or should i run independent grounds for each?
