blow through enclosures for standard cabs

What is the mounting depth of the subwoofer, in case if they were to fire straight downwards

i believe the ssd 18's are 9.5 or something close lets just say 10 to be safe

Downfiring configuration - if sub were to be 10" depth, we'd have 3.5" above woofer and 3.5" below the woofer in the bed, about the height of a 2x4. You could do a horn like mouth into the cabin. from the 3.5 space below the woofer. Speaker access being from top of bed. Also, the chamber that the subs fire into can have a mirrored bottom so you can see cone of woofer.

sounds sexy...so it would be a horn load type setup...i havent built one of these yet, how do they do on music? similar to 4th order??

Not sure about his height but also you could do something like this with a folded horn -

Basically it'd be like your concert series bass horns, that throw alot of energized bass.

that'll be wayyyy too large by the time its tuned right though.....kinda like a t-line small enclosure with a long ass port

with a fourth order firing into that little cabin space do you follow the general 2:1 box ratio and what is a good rule of thumb for port area??

That's just one that I saw, but the other would basically be a sealed box that fires into a short horn that mouths into the cab of the vehicle.
