I want to keep EVERYTHING under $250 I'm thinking about getting these things: Porter cable 7424xp Meguiar's 105 and 205 Pads for the porter cable Microfibers/waxes/polishers Here's a link to the main stuff I'll buy I already have most of the other stuff. http://www.detailedimage.com/DI-Packages-M29/PC-7424XP-M105-M205-pads-P438/ so what do you guys think and does anyone do professional work here? bsumpter Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Looks like a good start. Do you have any experience? Knowledge/Experience is sometimes better than any hand tool. Knowing what will and wont come out in a paintjob is key.

Knowing what will and wont come out in a paintjob is key. I've been detailing for a year. My car and about 40 others, I've used a 10" orbital so far mostly terry cloths and a foam pad to apply wax. I've read a bunch on detailed image and I think I can get the hang of it quickly. Regency Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Don't know if you bought already but make sure to get 6.5 inch pads and 4inch pads for tight areas porter cable will be the best option as well.
