Captain Stupid
Ok, here's a super-newbie question. I don't have any deadening material in my truck other than what comes stock on an 06 Escalade.I have no rattling other than the rear window wiper that I can hear while playing, but obviously no dampening will help that. Truck SEEMS really solid, but I honestly don't know what to REALLY look for. How do I know when I need deadening? How do I know when I have enough? So, no rattles=no deadener needed? That'd be great. I don't plan to get much louder than I am, just whatever fixing my electrical gains me, so then the only way I'd need it is if parts start working their way into rattling over time from 150db blasts. WastedTalent
Yeah, that's what I'd do. If you aren't rattling except your wiper, don't need any. It can also help with sound quality, as it does help keep outside noise out and inside noise in, but it does seem like your fine with how that is right now. WastedTalent
That's how I was. I was fine with the little rattles I had (not due to a wiper but just my trunk rattling). Then my tail light broke. That was enough. Got some second skin, asked for advice, did what I could. Obviously nothing like a pro but... wouldn't say bad for a first timer. Lol. And now, I truly think my tail light is nearly unbreakable. Take a hell of a lot more than what I have to break it. Captain Stupid
u dont have to hit 150 to rattle ... No, I'm saying I am currently hitting 150 and would only need deadener if things start rattling from the abuse. And yes, I've heard the guys with cars that rattle like rocks in a tin can on probably less than 140.
