I have two AQ super tweeters 5ohm 50 watt rms and two american bass sq 6.5 mids 8 ohm 80 watt rms. Looking for ideas on an amp for them.

i don't think you can mix 5 ohms with 8 ohms. and i honestly don't think you can mix 5 ohms with anything unless it's a mono amp

i could be wrong though

5ohms is the DC voice coil resistance (I am guessing), and 8ohms the nominal impedance. So let's consider the highs as 8ohm sepakers! In any case, of course and you can mix speakers of different impedance and surely he will use x-overs for the super tweeters so, in the DC measurement, the impedance of the tweeters will disappear and you will only read the 4ohm mid-speaker! So... about the amp... As a DD fan, I would go with a C3B (If you consider this extreme then take a look at the C2C).

Thanks for the help 206xtreme. I changed my mind now im gonna have four of the AQ super tweets 8ohm 50 rms. And for the mids im gonna have american bass vfl 6.5s mids in the front and vfl 6x9 mids for the back. Mids are rated 350 rms. How many crossovers will i need and would i need a 4channel or a 2channel amp

I have nice Crescendo 1000c4 im selling. Would work with what you are wanting to do.

edit: I also think 4 super tweets may be a bit much. What is your sub stage?

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
