MD7786
Anyone know what a stock 80 amp alternator on a 2001 Camry puts out while idling?? I found a new alt that I can afford. It's a 145 amp and puts out 80 while idle.

MD7786
Think 80 at idle is enough to bump hard for a bit like showing people?
ewilliams5430
It all depends on what you're running. You could also rev your engine to about 2000 rpm while you're demo-ing so you get the max output
Wicks
Have you looked at the label on the alt itself? Mine listed idle output. I agree, rev the engine to 2k and don't expect too much with less than 80a to play with. Definitely should upgrade soon!
