using -5 or -10db track?

Even if you use a 0dB a -5dB or a -10dB track, the clipping (the point that your pulse will not be a sinewave and will start being squared) will be in the exact same point! So don't worry about it. I would go with a 0dB to see where my deck clips and with a -10dB with my subs or mids wired on the amplifier to set the amp gain.

I do like hunter does. Set with -10, then mark around where my lc-1 is for -5 and 0. Then I try not to be stupid.

if you honestly had to ask, just go with -5. thats what decaf recommends, and gives you a little headroom. -10 is too much in my opinion. i dont even know why a -15db track was included.

Only use -10db if you know the limits of your system. Some songs I only need to turn the bass knob about half way before I know its full tilt.

I would say -5 is safe. I also agree the -15 is horrible to have on the disc, I have had several calls about people smoking there subs. The first response the give when I explain clipping is " I set my gains with the smd dd1". A bad ass product does not fix poor judgement.

I'll do -5 that way every song I play I won't be clipping. And i assume I'll set my head unit with 0db track?
