So, I currently have 2 12" Arsenal's on a DX1000.1. I'm trying to get rid of the Kicker equipment right now and have been looking at Hifonic apms. I have my eye on the Colossus amp. What are everyone's thoughts on this amp/Hifonics. What are good [roughtly] 2,000watt amps. I'm possibly going to be getting 2 more Arsenal's.

-Thanks.

I've got the BRZ2400.1 and it works well, haven't clamped it yet tho. It doesn't get hot at all as far as I've tested. If you can get a hold of them, the Brutus elite were a better amp. I would be wary of the new gladiator series amps tho, haven't heard much and they did some stupid things like putting 2AWG terminals on the new 2200 amp. I would just stick to the Brutus line or look into crescendo amps. A bit more expensive amp but you get what you pay for.

Where abouts in Michigan are you?

Go with the BRZ 2100.1D. Hifonics aren't great amps, but then again they aren't bad, they're decent. They'll do rated power, and some people have claimed that they can exceed rated power, but only by about 100 watts max.

That amp seems to fit my requirments. I've heard bad and good about Hifonics, but everyone is different and has their opinion. Haven't really heard anything about the crescendo amps at all, never even heard the name actually. Just looking for something tha won't clip, because this DX1000.1 is clipping pretty badly. And very true, get what you pay for but this kicker amp was quite expensive, and I'd except more.

I'm from the Monroe area.

i ran 4 15s on a brz1700 and it pounded and never had problems. i would go with the colossus if you got the money. the only thing i dont like about maxx sonics stuff is the angled inputs. but thats my opinion

The BRZ line is a good line, it will put out clean signal if you set your gains right, Brutus is Hifonics' only line you should buy IMO, any of their other lines aren't so good. Also, Crescendo is awesome, actually. Fantastic amps.

I have a lot do do in my future. I have my 2 12" Arsenal's in a sound ordance prefab box. I am ashamed, but they will be in a newer, better box real soon. Hopefully they move more air and I get some more flex. Also would like to upgrade the amp so it doesn't clip all the time. But thanks for all your input guys, very helpful.

Also, anyone know prices on Hifonics amps? I have no clue, lol.

Make sure you know how to set your gains correctly. That amp shouldn't be clipping, turn the gains down a bit. Could be your head unit as well. Try getting your hands on a DD-1.

Everything on my amp is at the lowest possible setting. Certain songs I can turn the bass knob and volume all the way up, others everything has to be down.

And how could the radio play any part in this?
