Electrical porblems??

problems:

gain is 3/4 up (and possibly bass boost, which should be off/0)

using 4 gauge on an amp that requires 0 gauge

using a capacitor

not having big 3 done

having an 80 amp fuse for an amp that requires a 200 amp one.

(possible problem) not having a secondary battery to help the electrical system out.

at half turned u can barely hear the sub.. kinda had no choice. thats why ive been saying this sub is only 1250rms, and i have to turn the amp way up to even hear it. honestly i can turn the amp all the way up far as it can go and my sub handles it! its like this amp is only got damn 900watts comin out. thats why i made this thread, obviously there is something wrong with my shit and its killing me! i dont have enough power to push this amp i guess. so next step is all wires and battery i guess

Turn your gain down a bit, you need bump up your eletrical, unless your stock alt is 100+ you need to get a new one soon. And take the other advice stated in this thread, get rid of the cap!

your sub level on the headunit is probably not up all the way, which can contribute to an abnormally high gain level.

it might as well have only 900w coming out of it with the 4 gauge and fuse combo. thats as much as the wiring can support.

your sub level on the headunit is probably not up all the way, which can contribute to an abnormally high gain level.

this little shitty stereo shop down the road told me not to mess with the sub level on my radio, and to leave it at 0 and dont mess with bass boost or loudness.

(im so damn glad i made this shit, u guys are alot more help than these stereo shops here)

so should i mess with the sub level? it goes to +15

Yes, be careful with it, turn it up and try it out, you should definitely turn the gain down first. My system has mine at +15, as well as mannnnyyyyy others here too. That setting is fine to mess with, just realize, it raises the output voltage, so that is why you need to turn your gain down. and They are right on not using loudness our bassboost.

Yes, be careful with it, turn it up and try it out, you should definitely turn the gain down first. My system has mine at +15, as well as mannnnyyyyy others here too.
