Azagtoth502 Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Power Acoustik amp won't do rated even if Zeus jizzed on it. How much you willing to spend on an amp. pa-pa-platypus sorry not everybody has a companies nuts so far down their throat they catch every drop ball sweat when it falls
Jessica Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I can't find any specs on that box other than those listed on amazon. Just seems like some mass produced box sold to third parties. If there was a Amway for the audio industry, then this would be one of their products. edit: sorry, didn't mean to just dump a negative post in here. The box might be ok, only way to know is try it out. A lot of people are perfectly happy with pre-fabs. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. J R Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Fi SSD is awesome for the price. Also look at an Audioque 2.5 or 3.0 series sub, Sundown SA-15, Skar Audio VVX 15, etc. For an amp on one 15 I'd definitely say go with a Hifonics Brutus 1200. The exact model number is BRZ 1700.1D. It's about $147 on amazon with a bass knob. When you buy the 15 get it with dual 2 ohm coils and wire it to 1. This amp will do rated. As for the box I have owned that EXACT box that I got in a trade. Trust me you do not want it..... I had a CVR 15 in that box and the tuning was around 45-48hz. Insanely high, and the box is too small for a 15. With the money saved on the amp maybe call around your local shops about making you a box, or find a friend with some experience, or even do some research on the board and attempt to build one yourself. ***2001 GMC 2500HD Regular Cab*** -Jensen 9312 Flip-Out -2 12 inch Pioneer Step-up Shallow Mounts -Kicker ZX750.1 for Lows -Pioneer 6.5 coax in the doors -Pioneer 4x6 coax in the pillars -Old School Alpine MRV-F250 for Mids/Highs ***1969 Camaro Z/28*** -500+ cubic inch 950hp BBC + 400-650 shot of Nitrous -Audio coming soon-

The SSD is cheaper than the AQ3.0 and the same specs. Is cheaper than Skar and SA and DC too, and has better specs. If he's on that budget I would say go SSD for a 1k rms woofer, if he wants the 600RMS, go AQ2.5. I also second building your own box, and the BRZ, good cheap amps that do rated.
