revoracing247
I have to say that I really like the work you have done. I am especially drawn to that folded horn type box you've built. It's sexy. thanks man! im honestly still really new to all this stuff, (first time kerfing, first time fiberglassing, ect) so the fact that it's something likable is awesome lol I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro ~Ford Ranger, ext cabKenwood DDX4701/0ga stinger wiring for big 31/0ga ofc flextech wiring 3 kinetik 800's AQ2200 @1ohm Sundown Audio X15 in a 27Hz tuned ported box LE BUILD LOG!!! CortezDTV
I'm so confused what sub was the box made for what's the Fs of that speaker? Why would/did you tune the tline below Fs of the sub? Good luck! I hope you dont break soft parts tuned tgat low; mis tuned tline are notorious for breaking soft parts SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/

I hope you dont break soft parts tuned tgat low; mis tuned tline are notorious for breaking soft parts You tune a t line/folded horn to the fs of your speaker. You can extend the length of the tline 1/4 or 1/2 of its wave length at that fs. It results in very low clean bass that is highly efficient. The reason most do 1/4 or even 1/8 wave length is because 1/2 wave length is ginormous. T lines break soft parts bc people want to put rms to a sub in a T line when in fact t lines make subs more efficient. So you don't need to put anywhere near rms anymore Scion tC SQ BuildiPad mini, lots of fabrication, daily drivenFord Explorer C Pillar Wall Build Just a cheap car to destroy with bass

T lines break soft parts bc people want to put rms to a sub in a T line when in fact t lines make subs more efficient. So you don't need to put anywhere near rms anymore Lol don't need to educate me on tlinedBut there are a few basic laws/rules that apply when making a tline Typically half of rms is used You don't tune below the Fs of the sub because it will unload with the zero back pressure made in a tline enclosure hence why they can move so much with very little power You don't want more port area this cone area and for tighter bass and better sq you will make the size of the port slightly smaller than the cone area of the sub so the tline I'm building for 2 6.5/ would be roughly the same size as a tline for an 8 2 6.5s equal about the same cone area as a 9" speaker Also with tlined there is a misconception that you have to tune low to play low, most tlined will get restarted low web tuned up I. The 30s and 40s I've built a few with a space requirement and crappy kicker 8a with a very high Fs; so I put them in a box tuned to 45 ish. They could still play into the mid 20s it's kinda like a 4th order or wall just cuz yet are tuned high doesn't make them not able to play low ...... Carry one I enjoy watching tline builds..... But also bump for the questions above... HunterJohnson
I guess to answer your question he figured out he fucked up. After he built the box he learned more. And I know how to build a t line to come area lol. He built 3 different t lines it seems. CortezDTV
Another common mistake I see not positive but when I was doing my research is you need the sub and port as close as possible so they work together not the other way around like how I see basically all tlined except for I beleive it was the wall with 6 10s all individual enclosures stacked up. I'm pretty sure his port and subs were as close as possible just like this Not like this SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/

HunterJohnson
I've used a sonno tube as a T line that stretched like 14 feet. It worked amazingly only problem was a slight resonating noise bc I used cardboard.
