revoracing247
It's at a fair grounds or something in centralia the audio comp is part of the mini truck show and everyone camps there all weekend. Was a 4x weekend last year if I remember right. im totally down. just hope i can get my truck as done as i want by then was able to put some more time into the T-line today! while on break and back home between semesters i was able to get some materials for the box building (and some left over from previous projects) let the fun begin! so first thing was first. getting the huge kerfed boards glued in when i glued these i put glue along the edge and then quickly ran a bead down each kerf and then put it in place. here's the first board taken off to glue and then there wasn't much too it so here's them being glued in place. i put a ton of weight on because non of the kerfs are screwed in or else it'd split the wood so i just put a ton of weight on it while it glued. next was getting the small other pieces put in. i debated having the port fanning out as it exits the box (ie not putting in those two pieces to square it off) but after thinking about it it'd raise my tuning even more and ruin a lot of the response of the t-line. so i put them even though it wont look as cool :/ I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro ~Ford Ranger, ext cabKenwood DDX4701/0ga stinger wiring for big 31/0ga ofc flextech wiring 3 kinetik 800's AQ2200 @1ohm Sundown Audio X15 in a 27Hz tuned ported box LE BUILD LOG!!! revoracing247
alright so next if getting ready to do the fiberglass. so first a little bit of bondo work here's the 3 edges i need to fill in before i can fiberglass. the closed end of the t-line where the port straightens out to exit the box and then the first baffle. i just want to make this one smooth so that there's good adhesion when i put on the second baffle. mmmm fresh bondo.....it's been a while i was only able to get get the first coat on the one that is on the first baffle but she's comin along. i was thinking of incorporating plexi somewhere in the box. $200 is too much to do the whole front so any suggestions from you guys? thefourth
I just fell in love Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
