revoracing247
naaa it's just rangers just have this retarded like step right at the back of the cab. so im gonna bassically build a shelf so that the box will have a flat surface to sit on. and plus it'll give me something to kind of make my amp rack off of. though im still unsure how im gonna secure my box so it doesn't move forward. suggestions anyone?? revoracing247
thanks! small update tonight! amp should be here tomorrow! here's the baffles fully dried and then yesterday i cleaned out my truck a little and got to work on cutting stuff for the shelf i need to make. my amazing card board stencil anyways not sure if im gonna work on this or my box tomorrow but im hoping to get some stuff done. also im in a dilemma right now. i have 0Ga running to the back but it's not ofc wire and so i wanna replace it before i start getting to my system i want in the future and the PA880 only can fit the 4Ga. so im thinking i might try to do the big 3 with the cca 0Ga for not just so i have something to help with my grounds and what not. but i was wondering if that seems like a good idea or not. doing a big 3 with cca wire. revoracing247
true true! looks like im gonna do that then. got some stuff done on my truck today! and i got a package in the mail!!! woot woot! thanks again revoofrustler! so glad to have an amp again. anyways, so today i mainly tried to concentrate on cleaning up my truck some to get ready for the new system and also to put the amp in. so here's a couple pics of how the wiring was before. the old 4Ga ground. (and yes i know it sucks) the old 0Ga ground. and im planning on taking all the 0Ga out and doing the big three with it. and then i cleaned up that mess of wires that was under my seat before. thank you zip ties! so here's a little ground terminal that cam with the amp. i like the whole allen screw design and idk. i looks cool. so i decided to use it. (the screws i had) i decided on putting the ground right in between the back seat mount and where the floor pan rises. used a drill with a wire brush and got to bare metal first screw about to go in! well while drilling the second hole i broke my drill bit... and actually i just said screw it im almost there and tried finishing it with the rest of the bit and broke it again so i looked under my truck and found out i had drilled threw but it was like right on top of a cross beam and so it caught that and broke it. and for the life of me i couldn't get the bit out and the screw wouldn't go in nice on the hole anyways so i decided to drill another one. anyways here's the bottom of my truck. and new hole drilled/ i hate cutting off a really good crimp but oh well. got the wire in! sorry for it being upside down. anyways got everything hooked up. at least for now. this is temporary! anyways, i took a video of the 8" going at it and i would post it right now but my internet is being really slow right now so it's still uploading and i'll post it in a bit I think you have a bit of truck stuck in your mud bro ~Ford Ranger, ext cabKenwood DDX4701/0ga stinger wiring for big 31/0ga ofc flextech wiring 3 kinetik 800's AQ2200 @1ohm Sundown Audio X15 in a 27Hz tuned ported box LE BUILD LOG!!! REVOofRustler
Nice job cleanin up all the wire! Also, I put some screws and aluminum spacers in the box with the amp. If you build a wood "floor" to mount the amp to, you could use those screws and spacers to get a really good amount of airflow all around the amp. Lookin forward to the video! By the way, what do you have it wired to with the 8? 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 club cab - Sold 2004 Audi S4 Avant - Fi and Crescendo - Stock Bose System - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147725-2002-dodge-dakota-end-of-the-road/?hl=%202002%20%20dakota 136.4 Sealed @ 29hz 137.0 Drivers window open @ 26hz
