The second/latest case mod I chose to do a red and black combo... turned out AWESOME! I made this for my girlfriend, she loves it! (Yeah she games, Gears of War 3 is her favorite!)

All the parts laid out

jensxboxcasemod1.jpg

Sanded the front faceplate

jensxboxcasemod2.jpg

Have all the button areas covered so they don't get painted

jensxboxcasemod3.jpg

Soap and water gets off the residue

jensxboxcasemod4.jpg

Sanded and washed pieces ready for primer

jensxboxcasemod5.jpg

First coat of primer

jensxboxcasemod6.jpg

All primed, now for some tape and paint

jensxboxcasemod7.jpg

Got the plexi out, time to get my layouts designed for it; my first modded xbox is out for reference lol

jensxboxcasemod8.jpg

Gloss paint for this!

jensxboxcasemod9.jpg

First couple coats of red

jensxboxcasemod10.jpg

Plexi is traced out, now only to cut it

jensxboxcasemod11.jpg

Red all done. Letting it all dry.

jensxboxcasemod12.jpg

Red is all dry. Grey area is where black needs to be applied. Taping everything off.

jensxboxcasemod13.jpg

Black is about done.

jensxboxcasemod14.jpg

Now, I don't have any photos of this, but I decided to frost the plexi, so you can't see this insides. Turned out sick!!

Finished photo's!!

My best so far, looks absolutely amazing! Girlfriend loves it!

Let me know what you all think :)

Looks clean. I might do that to my regular 360 and throw an led or two in it. If you did red leds under that frost plexi that would be bad ass.

Thank you! And do it man, definitely worth it in the end! I had thought about doing the LED's, however in the newer slim's it is hard to find a power source, no plug and play unit for what I was looking for online. I didn't want to try and figure out all of the resistors and what not lol. Next build though, I want to.

IDK if they have it anywhere thats easy to get to...but if its out of warranty you can dissasemble it and wire from the back of one of the USB ports thats 5v...and use 5v leds. I did it on the original xbox360s for my brother and his controllers.

I believe it does. I was trying to do coats and then sand between, but it wasn't working, idk what I was doing wrong. I'm still new at this lol. The faceplate turned out silky smooth tho!! Haha
