Nexus 7 Removable dash mount

So I recently saw the Amplifies episode where they make a removable dash mount for a Nexus 7 and I really liked the way it came out. I want to try to make my own but I'm a fiberglass noob. What kind of fiberglass should I use to make the mount? I know most people on the site order from uscomposites.com so any links would be very much appreciated.

Let me point you in the dierection of evercoat. They make a variety of bodywork materials, namely formulations that work for plastic modification. If you want to do something plastic (and do it correctly) I would recommend starting there.
