okay I'll fix the lpf, I never really knew what to set it at. amp is grounded to the xs and the xs is grounded to the frame, I've never checked for resistance

Changed all the gains yesterday but still didn't help the problem, does anyone have any other ideas? As soon as amp clips the sub makes a pop noise and plays weird like its blown but it isnt jumping around on a multimeter, reads steady .9 . Amp stays on and does not go into protect

Try to unplug the bass knob from the amp and try it.
