07corolla Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 So I have a supercharged 9515h and I'm running it off my M2a (2500rms) which is powered by an xs power XP3000 and stock alt. I've had it playing for about a month and yesterday was the first time I had a problem, I was playing it and the sub started cutting out/playing weird. I dont really know how to explain the way it was playing other than it sort of sounded blown. It plays fine until it gets loud and starts to clip a little, then it does this. Also the amp stays on this whole time and does not go into protect mode. the sub reads a steady .9ohm battery doesn't drop below 12v checked all connections tested at multiple frequencies subs suspension seems normal So my question is, does anyone know what is happening, whats causing it, and/or how to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated 2007 Toyota Corolla Sub: DD M3c DD 9515h D4 wired to 2ohm Mids: DD A2 (2) DD VO 6.5 (4) Power: Js 180a alt XS D1200 XS XP3000 XS XP975 XS 1/0 OFC (Big 3) XS 1/0 OFC (2 runs pos/neg) Sky High machined set screw battery posts (all batts) Score: Never metered
MrClean636 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I hope you have at least a single run of 1/0 power wire from the front battery back. Now which battery are you referring at doesn't drop below 12v, the XS? Car: 2011 Ford Taurus SEL / Alt: DC Power 270XP (Will be here 7/17!!!) MrClean636 Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Read the voltage right at the amp inputs, even if all the connections might look good, they might not be. Just another way of knowing for sure it isn't your connections. Car: 2011 Ford Taurus SEL / Alt: DC Power 270XP (Will be here 7/17!!!) 07corolla Posted October 4, 2012 Author Report Posted October 4, 2012 I've read the voltage at both the battery and amp already, both read the same 2007 Toyota Corolla Sub: DD M3c DD 9515h D4 wired to 2ohm Mids: DD A2 (2) DD VO 6.5 (4) Power: Js 180a alt XS D1200 XS XP3000 XS XP975 XS 1/0 OFC (Big 3) XS 1/0 OFC (2 runs pos/neg) Sky High machined set screw battery posts (all batts) Score: Never metered

07corolla Posted October 4, 2012 Author Report Posted October 4, 2012 How is your amp set gain is about halfway, lpf is at 120hz, subsonic is at like 30hz I think but I'm not positive on that right now I'm in school, and bass boost is off 2007 Toyota Corolla Sub: DD M3c DD 9515h D4 wired to 2ohm Mids: DD A2 (2) DD VO 6.5 (4) Power: Js 180a alt XS D1200 XS XP3000 XS XP975 XS 1/0 OFC (Big 3) XS 1/0 OFC (2 runs pos/neg) Sky High machined set screw battery posts (all batts) Score: Never metered
