I traded the 4 sa's and one 1500 straight up for the 4 zv3's. so they're gone. I was going to use Sundown SAZ-2500's, but due to severe lack of physical space, they just won't fit. SO, after re-evaluating my different options, I've officially decided I'll be running Crossfire Audio for the amps in the truck. I'll be using the newer model C5 1700 amps. I'll be starting with 2 amps that I'll be ordering next week. My winter break starts in ONE week, and a TON of work will happen within weeks after that. Have been working all week on pulling the engine in the ol' explorer. Needed the timing chains/guides replaced and wanted to go ahead and take care of it. Should be all back together by this friday (12/21) and the stereo updates will come then. Bought an American bass 500.1, and ups managed to break the hell out of it in shipping. SO now I'm waiting for all that to be sorted out. Wasn't about to let the amp thing kill my morale. Went out today in the 40* weather and worked a few hours on getting all that I could done. This is where I'm at now... Ready for power port adapter ring got booty? All screwed in nice like Daily 8" port. I've had a couple small issues with mine that they've since fixed. taylorpro Posted January 6, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 6, 2013 Threw an audiopipe mini 1500 in there at 2 ohm for some noise. metered for lawls with all my school stuff still in the truck and nothing in spl trim and it still did a 145.x legal. and that's likely around 3-400 watts after rise. I wired it to .5 and it definitely woke it up. No idea where it'd be at now, but I'd imagine power went from ~3-400 to ~12-1300.
