TarponPride09 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 im wiring up my pioneer h/u for my 02 escalade, i got the gm onstar os-1, onstar adapter. the adapter has a blue/white amp trigger wire, and the h/u harness has a blue/white wire that says "connect to system control terminal of the power amp or auto-antenna relay control terminal". my questions are do i connect the two? is this the same as the remote turn on? and i thought that the remote turn on went to the 12v switched wire? Aaron813 Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 yes or you can wrap the wire around the terminal either way works good soldering is better
Shyne151 Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 yes or you can wrap the wire ekk, that sounds like something I would have come in from the east side... blue will be your power antenna(make sure you don't hook this to the amp turn on wire or your amps will only be on with radio) blue/white is the one you want for amps, it puts out low amperage 12v whenever the radio is on. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune.
