Jordan Guess Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 Is there a special harness I need to convert from my stock headunit in my 03 Jetta to my aftermarket headunit? Rumor has it that sometimes the car wont even function if you dont have the headunit wired correctly? (i dont think that would be true, havent tested the theory). The clip that goes into the back of the headunit has a little swing arm that secures the clip in place; is there a female plug that has bare wires on the other side for aftermarket connection? Next, Do i need the antenna converter as well since the antenna on the VW is two small clips? Lastly, are there any single din head unit dash install kits? Im sketpical about the ones ive seen online, and my local walmart/Kragen doesnt carry anything for VW. Any input or questions is greatly appreciated.
