dog24fret
Up to speed I have been having allot of problems browsing SMD on all my devises. It freezes, skips, cuts part of the page out sometimes or turns blood red when loading. No one else seems to be having these problems so it must not be the site. I have used explorer, msn, nortex,Firefox and Google chrome. The loading times go freaky on other sites at times. Here are screenshots of errors and warnings if they help. Maybe someone who is smarter than I can help me get this working better or what I need to do. this one is three parts to show all the high lighted line The current dsl is at 5.0 until they get 8.0 out here. My upload and download speed is 5549 kbps(693.6 kb/sec transfer) 808 kbps(101 kb/sec transfer). Google is open only to use my photo bucket. Thanks to anyone who can help me. n1ghtsn1p3r
I'm seeing similar stuff on my end also (I'm using Palemoon x64, which is a slightly modified version of Firefox, since FF doesn't have an official non-nightly 64-bit version) I'm not seeing it on just SMD either. I'm thinking my ISP, modem, and router are derping from me downloading so much (installing stuff from Steam) Quote 2016 Ford Focus SE No build log yetDC Audio 1.2K2x DC Audio Level 2 10"
dog24fret
I don't know what is up so I was hoping the smart guys could help lol. My router is a few months old because of a lockout on my ps3. Also it will just hang up in loading for 20 sec to a minute sometimes. Then other times it is instantly or in this forum it will load only half a page. Sometimes on other web pages. n1ghtsn1p3r
As far as the stuff in your screenshots, from what I understand, it's just some CSS code that your version of the browser doesn't recognize, probably for older/different browsers). Unplugging my router and modem for about 30 seconds helps, since sometimes it won't load anything (just says "connecting to [sitename]" for a long time, then fails). I'm using the SMD Infinite Dark skin with the color selector set to black and the only plugins I'm running are AdBlock Plus, Flash, and Java. Edit: there it goes. I go to post and only 1/3rd of the first sentence of this reply shows up (with html tags lol) after taking forever to finally load Edited October 13, 2012 by n1ghtsn1p3r Quote 2016 Ford Focus SE No build log yetDC Audio 1.2K2x DC Audio Level 2 10"
dog24fret
How do I check my plugins for Firefox. I haven't done the router and modem thing in awhile. If it is my version of browser need updated where do I go for that. I just installed FF last week. The problems your having happens for me allot. Or after hitting the post button it goes to saving post. Quote Cowboy Escort GrAnny ThUmper The Burp
n1ghtsn1p3r
Type "about:addons" in the address bar to see plugins (Tools -> Addons, or just pressing Ctrl+Shift+A will work also) To see the version and check for updates, click Help ( You might need to hit the Alt key for the menu to show up) -> About Firefox Just reset my router and modem and it's working fine now. Hotdog
clear out your internet cache and history on all your browsers. Also try Crap cleaner it is free and will do all that for you in one click. http://download.cnet.com/CCleaner/3000-18512_4-10315544.html?tag=main;dropDownForm Edited October 19, 2012 by Hotdog Quote (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
WastedTalent
Think all of that is a sign to stop looking at porn. I mean for reals. Lmfao!!! But no, it's not your carrier. Carrier wouldn't exactly edit how pages load on your devices. It can be the sites you visit, even if you're the only one with the problem. I mean I play a game online and it seemed that I was the only one having problems with it for awhile until they fixed it and now it's all good. But a temporary fix was to run it in like windows xp mode or something. So unless packets are getting dropped or some technical lingo stuff going on like that, carrier has nothing to do with it. Lame... but I suggest going to starbucks, mcds, bk, a place that has wifi and log on. See how it loads there vs at home. I mean the more things you log on with, the better. Obviously you don't want to bring a desktop into mcdonalds but if you have a laptop... pretend your looking up some schoolwork type stuff or whatever. But also log in with your phone and anything else. If it loads the same at whatever place as your home, obviously nothing to do with your carrier or whatnot. It's then your devices. But if you browse and browse on devices and it works perfectly... then I'd say it's your modem. Some technical lingo shit going on. As far as the whole "loading then quits" or whatever... I experience that on this site a lot actually. "Loading" for 30 sec-2 mins... then finally loads and all good. But yet don't have that on any other site. I mean I go to my school website, email, whatever and quick as shit. So could be the site for that issue. In the meantime, all I can really suggest, until someone more technically advanced chimes in such as Sheena or whomever, could try running FF in another mode. Like you can right click it and "run as admin"... or right click>properties>run in compatability mode and try different modes. See if anything helps.
