Valentin Reinis Posted October 15, 2012 Author Report Posted October 15, 2012 i dont think ill do double baffle and whats the displacment isnt it 0.1 ft ^3?
Witney181 Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 couple questions. are you doing a double baffle? and also don't forget to include the woofer displacement in torres. i'd say make one with a port wider then 1.5" and tuned around 33hz. it'd help to not get port noise and plus the sub could breath a little more and it'd probably preform better. saying that i kind of like the last one cause it has the 2" port width. but i'd also wait for other peoples opinions. im no expert Like I was saying last night when he was pm'ing me, I'd go with a 3-5" wide port. Offers a lot better breathing and less chance if port noise. Vote for October SOTM. revoracing247 Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 N8 you saying that a 2" X 12.5" inch port is too much or a 3-5" X12.5" port is too much? anyways i was gonna say if you're not doing a double baffle then you could possibly make the hight a little smaller and the port a little wider to help keep port area within check and help against port noise. but just measure your sub if you have it alread and see what would work! ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
n8ball2013 Posted October 15, 2012 Report Posted October 15, 2012 it wasnt directed at you. but read up on port ratio. the length and width play into things. not just saying you need a port at least three inches wide.
