I have not checked out the updates in a while. I was chilling at home and had a fiberglass itch and knew were to go to fill it. Tim the Shit is looking killer! Love the hood its turning out great!

worked on the 1" lip around the final fender..: ..not alot of progress really but i took some pix,that i didnt take...on the other side....all for the sake of.............some pix to post...

well with work on the house.....and numerous other expences,fundage for the Cav.....is real minimal:( so ive been using up whats left of the 3/4" beaded foam laying around here...

Jam it all up in there...:rolleyes: try to fill all the voids...

then i trimmed it all back with a utility knife,,,,;)leaving it about 1/2" long....and started shaping with a long block and some 36 grit

after sanding the foam down to a general shape....I mixed up some mud and skimmed the beaded foam...

using any excess mudd...to fill low spots in the "part"

and a little Everglass.....

you can kinda see my line drawn @ 1"....for my fender lip

then I taped it out on the line.....again using 4 layers of masking tape,to "stamp" my cut line in the Part....

after the taping.....sprayed it with super77 and layed out some foil on the areas i do NOT want the glass to bond to.. and draw the cut line on...with a sharpie...following the tape line....I do not need this line for the sake of trimming,because the cut line will be "stamped" in.....but it helps with the layup.....to make sure i got good glass coverage,,,where i need it
