here you can see the front half....the urathane is cut away and the skirt is glassed over the angle iron mounting flange...and up into the doorJamb.....the rest of the way...the urathane is still supporting my kit....

once the front half cured...I cut away the urathane at the back half....and glassed it in....the urathane is still there...in the middle....supporting my kit..

once that cured....i went in and cut the urathane out...in the middle...exposing the last of the angle iron

then taped and waxed the mounting flange.....and up into the Jamb

and finished laying up the area

after curing...Off again for some trimming...

Here you can see how much the "stock" kit has been chopped away....so that i can get a good snug fit to the car with MY kit..

trim up ,at the inner fender mount....and a mounting screw...into the sheetmetal...

once every thing....that was in my way......was cut out....I taped up the rear section and drew in some trim lines..

Then i put my parts back on the car.....to continue layup,,,into the door jamb...I pushed my part in ....nice and snug to the tape...on the sheetmetal....and used CA glue...to hold it tight to the body...

then I glassed in the ...little wrap around..into the door jamb...

let it cure....knocked it all down with 36 grit..

and did the final layup for the day..

looking good as always. you are the reason i have a interest in doing glass work this winter to my truck and the wifey car. i have a question though. what type of wax do you use over the tape. i used alum. foil and it was a hell of a lot better that glassing over tape alone.

usually a mold release wax. should be sold everywhere a reputable fiberglass seller is.
