Thats awesome. When I calculate it I get 5.7 ft^3 by multiplying the dimensions then dividing by 1728. Also, I could do 31x27x13.5. SBG, what size is that aero port

edit: If I used the measurements above doesnt that give me about 6.5 ft^3

the port was a 10'' round pvc @ 32hz

Well steve meade had 2 18" in the trunk of his little civic.......you should be able to fit 1 in your volvo!!!!!!!..I think sometimes people over annalize on the demensions and calculations when it comes to box building. I'm not here to offend anybody, people need to do what they are comfortable with. I've been building for 20 years and i have never went with factory specs. When you customize thats exactly what you do....you customize it to fit your need. i build to fit the area. I jammed 3 twelves and 4 eights in the trunk of my accord.....and a battery and two amps.........so its full. checki it out on mtx's website under SCOTT KOCH"S RIDE.....its on google too......if you build it they will come!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever you are under sizing an enclosure it's recommended to run a BUNCH of power to compensate, especially on that sub. It's gonna laugh at 1000W. If you sent it 2000-2500, them that's a different story.

The point is: a)you don't have the airspace the sub requires and b)you really should fire a sub like that RIGHT at the deck lid.

also my sub was a 1600 RMS sub and i was runin 1400 RMS and still didnt have to put a bunch more power to it to sound good.

Two guys suggesting an 18" in the trunk of a Volvo in 4 cubes or less is a good idea...

*Edit-Just so we are clear, no offense Scott. I'm sure your install skills are just fine. I don't know about the OPs however.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
