Suspension gurus! Strut help

Recommended Posts

Well I'll be walling my car soon. I'm rocking struts at all four corners too. Multi-link rear setup. I've already put the best struts on it and 1.5" spring helpers(the kind that go in the coil springs). I'm still sitting pretty low in the back. Custom ufo 18's, D3100, NSB130ft, wood, wires and amps. The wall will be three 18's, two M4a's and 5-7 D3100's. Two on the rear passenger floor boards, three in the spare tire well(kind of centered on the axle line) then possibly one behind each wheel well. My estimate is I'll be adding around another 500lbs or more behind the B-pillar

The only things I've come up with is running strut bags(most likely rears only) which I'll need drop springs for the front. Reason I say rears only, is I won't have room for a tank, compressor or switches. So just a manual valve to check the pressure.

Going to coilovers(not sure how they will take weight)

Trying to find heavier springs for the rear.

these don't look like the right ones though lol

coilovers. There's a few types

I've thought about getting some junk yard springs for the front and see if they'll fit the rear strut mounts.

Kind of how it sits right now

Coilsprings.com

Got off the phone with them a little bit ago. They said worst case scenario, it'll be 280 for the rear pair. The guy said most likely, low 200s for my springs. Seems pretty reasonable for something that's one off.

If your looking at going air, These are really reliable, and not too hard to install.

But i advise NOT using air without any on-board management. its dangerous, plus just a major pain in the @$$
