Goal is to get louder and sound better than stock. Not a huge build or anything crazy. Just some better quality stuff than stock. Parts that are planned for this. Pioneer DEH-p8400bt- Ordered today PAC GM stereo wiring harness adapter. Pioneer TS-A1604C A-Series 6 1/2" Components - Already installed in Front Pioneer Coaxials for the back - Not ordered yet Rockford PBR300x4 for front rear speakers JBL GTO804 subwoofer for the rear - 2 in about 1.2ft cubed ported to 32-34hz SUB AMP Alpine MRP500 1/2 EQ still undecided Knu Koncepts 4gauge kit. Either bed coating or some kind of speckled texture coat...black or grey. Anyone have opinions on what we should do? I was thinking Rustoleum bed coating spray. But its black. I remeber seeing on here someone had a speckled grey texture coated box that was sprayed or rolled on I can't really remember... Does anyone know what Im talking about? Chris Hammer Posted October 30, 2012 Author Report Posted October 30, 2012 Here is a pic of the sub and amp we are going with. We built the box first to get as much room as we could w/o fiberglass. Then picked sub selections, and then an amp that match RMS or slightly more. Our mounting depth is really limiting on sub selection. I put the dimensions in for these is Sketchup and we can just barely fit them. Their FS is surprisingly low and much more Xmax than the Rockford p2 8's we were originally planning. Recommended space is on par with our box we can fit 2 perfect after port dispacement.. RMS is 200w which is perfect for what he wants. We are installing 2..wiring down to 2ohm and going to use a Alpine MRP500 to power them. Should sound good for how stealth it is. I am definitely using i on my box for my truck once I get around to lifting the rear seats and building it. My friend decided to go a different direction. His brother in law does custom painting I guess. So we are going to resin,body fill and sand it. Then his brother in law is going to spray it white to match the truck than color match the Blue graphics on the truck with a stripe or something custom on one side.
