Hey guys i need ur help.

If i were to get a set of the pps4-6, would i be able to purchase rockfords 1" tweeter and make some sort of crossover or buy one to make them work together like a component set? Or is the pps4-6 strickly for use by itself

If you plan on going that route you may as well go active with those and save the money on a passive crossover.

the 4x6 are already internally bass-blocked for the tweeters they come with, so if you are trying to get a full ranger of sound, try finding 4x6 componets.

Active means your using an electronic crossover instead of a passive one, hope that helps clear that up for you.

Wow...do some research before posting dude! The speaker he is talking about is not a 4X6 plate speaker. It's a single 6" driver, that's 4 ohms(that's where the numbers come from).

To answer your question OP, you can use a set of passive crossovers if you want, but most guys will suggest doing an active setup. Active crossing over is where you'll use a sound processor to electronically find a crossover point, or a processor of some type(Rockford 360.2 or 360.3 or Audiocontrol).

A few people do build those passive crossovers though, so that IS an option. Just cross them over so nothing below about 3000Hz is picked up.
