ccmotox99
So, being the great big brother I am I offered to build a subwoofer box for my little brothers subwoofer, and I may of gotten in a little over my head. I've researched online about the different kinds of calculators for building subwoofer boxes, they confuse me I won't lie. Obviously cutting out wood and all that shit is cake, but as far as tuning the box, how would one go about that? I'm looking to make a pretty large box (big, but yet small enough to fit a trunk of a mitsiubishi galant) for a 10" Alpine type x. Please help box experts -playing with different setups

Do you have any idea what he might want it tuned to or what kind of music he listens to? Also some max trunk dimensions and knowing what size amp you'll be putting to is some needed info. Justinclink01
I know this is helluh old thread, lol but I just picked up this sub an built a box with the above specs. Only issue I'm having is where do I cut the hole for the sub? Do I just cut a hole in the center or do I do it off to the side like the generic picture above? Triticum Agricolam
You could cut the hole in the center of the front panel, or off to the side like its shown in the picture. It won't make much difference either way.
