kidd666 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 im looking at getting a new set of speakers for my truck and i wanted some opinions on which set has the best sound quality for the price? im looking at the infinity kappa 462.9CFP or the infinity refference 6432cfp both will be in the 4x6 plate speaker form
CleanSierra Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 Stay away, they are shrill. Highs are harsh as hell. I ran the components and plates, and both are too bright. Kappas and Reference are both too bright(for my liking). They also don't handle much power from an amp. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Jessica Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 I have the 6030cs components. And yep, the highs are harsh. if you run them active and cut the power back quite a bit to the tweets and cut 15k by a few db's they mellow out quite a bit. The mids do sound good though and get loud. They have pretty good mid bass down to about 70 or 80hz. any lower and they will get muddy on higher power. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. My super random youtube channel and terrible camera work. CleanSierra Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 The Bostons are the way to go. Get the Rallys or even the ProSE's. you won't be disappointed with the Bostons Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
teamace24 Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 It all depends on your preference, infinitys are very top heavy(tweets) but i found that a lot of people actually like that but yeah they can hurt just turn gain down and mess with the db switch. THey are overall VERY LOUD.
