Max1636
I've just won an auction on eBay Australia. A Digital Designs Z 2HV which sold for exactly $699. I'm familiar with the amazing quality of DD products but am not completely aware of what I've really purchased here. Currently on order I have a Fi SP4 18 which is only rated 2500 Watts RMS, but people give them 5k all day, and with my poor electrical I would not expect to get any more than that. The gains will be set clean with a DD1. How will the amp work with my setup? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Max1636
more details on what your running like car electrical would help Currently extremely poor. Stock 90 Amp Alternator and an Optima YellowTop, I've done the big 3 which actually gave me an extra volt I sit at 15v idle which I think is pretty amazing considering the 90 Amp alternator. Skullz
Why would you buy a DD sub if you already have one from FI on order? Nothing wrong with having more than one sub in the event something bad were to happen. What amp do you currently have or are considering to use? Your electrical will definitely need to be upgraded, and you will want to add more batteries to have a good reserve supply to pull from. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

Sorry there must be a mistake here, the 'Digital Designs Z 2HV' is a 7700w Amplifier, not a subwoofer. Max1636
you will need better electrical set up Yes defiantly I can get more YellowTops easily, but I have to get a custom made alternator from Mechman which will cost $500+. Do you think just one more YellowTop will slightly help the situation until I'm able to get a new alternator? suckerfreebass
yea you will need alot better electrical i suggest a h/o alternator an a few battery there is no way you electrical will hold up with all that power i would only run about 1500 rms off your electrical to be safe yea it would help but i suggest upgrade all electrical or you risk damaging equipment before you even see full power

If I monitor the voltage and ensure it stays above 11 at the minimum, do you think I would be safe from damaging anything?
