What more do I need??

I am planning on upgrading my system in the near future and want to run a 3000-3500 watt amp. Right now my electrical consists of a 270 DC power alt, XS power D2400 and one run of 1/0 awg kicker hyper flex. Im thinking a beefy secondary battery and another run of 1/0 awg wire. Will that be sufficent or should I consider more??

For anything over 2kw I like to start adding dedicated earth runs to the back and having at least 4 runs of 1/0 in total (2 for B+ 2 for earth). You have a strong alternator so adding a D3100 or two will hold you well with the right wiring.

I'd say you'd be fine battery wise if all you added battery wise was a D3400.
