Home depot that is, about 1 5/8" length, when you get your wood someone can recommend something that they have available, yes better predrill, You may want to go to the builds section and look around to see what you like and browse some pictures on the build process so that you get a better idea on what are dealing with.

Dont the 45's need to go from top to bottom? Do you mean 1 5/8" width? I was wondering. Should the port be facing the back or towards the drivers seat? Do you have any schematics for an amp rack? And i want to paint it with a piano black finish. Ive seen alot of partial attempts but nobody seems to have any solid guides about it that i can find.

1 5/8" as a suggestion for the length of the screws, 45s are usually placed vertically but can be put any way you want or just don't use them, the port should be facing back, amp racks don't need special calculations, just need to be the size to fit the stuff you are placing inside and have good ventilation.

If you intend to do the 45s inside the port, let me know to give you the size.

Im gonna do all the 45s pictured there. What about the speaker wire terminal, where should that go. On the sides or in the back? By the port? Do i need one terminal for each sub or should i wire them to 1 terminal?

Ok, so here ive looked up the way to wire up 2 dual 4 ohm subs to get 1 ohms. If you look at the first picture here http://www.the12volt...=2&I=42#results How do i wire it? Wiring like that comes with one lead out and would be challenging with this box design to make the connection between the two subs. I think im overthinking this a bit. Ive never done two subs on one channel. My last setup was pathetic. Kenwood kfc 10"s and a rockford fosgate prime 500 watt amp. 2 channel amp so each sub hooked up to a channel. Th esubs bottomed out so easily and made a strange metallic twang until the spiders ripped out. But anyways! So ideally 1 ohm out of the aq1200d. It has terminals for 2 speaker connections but i dont understand how that works if its a monoblock. Im sorry could you draw up a wiring diagram for me joe? Im in the process of trying to plan out the sheets of wood so i can make the most of my cuts and not waste material. Get paid on the 23rd shoudl pick up the mdf then and hopefully get started. Ill post pics too along the way and hopefully some others will gain interest and offer tips for a first timer.

i'd get some larger speaker wire. thats super small.

i'd do the big 3 as well, if you havent already.

also, your phone microphone is utterly useless at measuring pressure levels. its made to hear your voice, not 130+db lol

the only reason monoblocks have two sets of terminals, is to make wiring multiple subwoofers easier. it does not matter which + or - you use on the amp. you can use two terminals, or all four. does not matter. the outcome is the same.

Ok so heres what im thinking. I realized i put the speakers in the wrong place but thats not important here. its the way the wires are laid out. So ive done all the connections internally. Would this work well? One of the back terminals as positive and one as negative?

Since there is fast airflow inside the port it's better to avoid placing anything inside it, you may not be able to remove the wires if any issue arises. Can be done I just wouldn't recommend it.
