Messed up

x2 It's the sending unit 7 out 10 times. The gauges will malfunction to check the gauges simply unplug the harness by the tank ground the gauge. Then that will tell you if the gauge is bad or good. Depending on how many miles you have replacing the sending unit and pump wouldn't be a bad idea if you can afford it sir. Fixed the samething on my escort, van, burb and the focus all the same prob sending unit malfuntion. Gauge would be one thing or another never consistent or the gauge would vibrate as if it was being electrocuted lol. 94jett as far as the blower fan can you acsess the blower unit case. Sounds like the squarel cage has slipped or just the motor just locked up. If the whine changes with the blower speed seting you may get lucky and put a new cage on it. Replaced a few of them in my day lol.

i own a shop and im just going to tell you now if you dont fully trust that you know what your doing then just go ahead and take it to a shop. but if you do have an idea of what your doing drop the tank and see if it might be the sending unit. but i would almost think if thats not it then you may have crossed some wires somewhere and they are back feeding on each other andd making it flip its shit but other than that just take it to a shop and let them figure it out. might be cheaper in the long run that way

yeah it sucks man. i'm also scared to run out of fuel one day in the middle of the road. I had to calculate in my head on how much kilometers left with the amount of gas i put inside the tank

I thought it was a diesel? But seriously, You may have an access port to get to your fuel pump and stuff. Not to hard to check it if you do. Your electrical shouldn't effect your gas gauge because they just use a sending unit for that.

Diesel, right? Is it freezing in your area yet? If so, your fuel could be geling up as well. If it is, or even if it isn't, run some fuel additive in it. I had this problem once and it was the fuel itself geling up from cold weather.

Sounds off and all, but it gels at 18-20 degrees depending on what the gas station uses.
