i honestly just don't like the thought of shallow mounts.

if space is really an handicap for you, yet you still want nice bass,

look at the Sundown SA-8 v2

Really? The sa-8 v2 is one of the deepest 8's I've ever seen.

No fucking way that would fit if he has to go with a shallow mount.

under construction

I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me.

These have a mounting depth of 3.4" So in a box you are looking at 5 to 5 1/2" deep total-ish

Good brand, they are 400 watts, so you won't get super loud, but being a single cab truck it won't take much.

edit, sorry, 200 watts rms. Crutchfield has them also in dual 4ohm

and give these a try, i love the Type R's

http://www.amazon.co...=pd_sim_sbs_e_2

from alpine site:

The Type-R Thin series have been engineered to offer more installation flexibility and application versatility to build the ideal sound system. At 3-1/4” deep for the 10” and 3-1/2” deep for the 12”, these subs provide deep bass performance where it normally couldn’t fit. And the 0.35 cubic foot (SWR-T10) and 0.6 cubic foot (SWR-T12) ideal enclosure sizes mean great bass performance can go just about anywhere in your vehicle.
