Would like some lows, but the mids and highs on them are pretty impressive. Have them run via Alpine pdx-f4 marine. BluntStep Posted May 18, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 18, 2013 kinda cool!! but how are you recharging those battts at full tilt dont they run out fast? that outboard motor sure doesnt have an alternator. but pretty cool!! Yeah outboards have alternators, im sure its just a lower amperage compact one. iv never had a problem with it, we'v had the engine off with the tunes going and still it starts up fine n charges right back up I did have 3 or so battery's on this trip quick google "Any outboard with electric start will have an alternator, but not as a single component -- they use flywheel magnets, coils in the stator, and a rectifier to generate charging voltage.
