Need Help With Box Designs

I getting back into designing sub boxes and need some help jump stating my mind. lol.

The first box I am designing is for a Ground Zero GZPW 18SPL ( Web site ) running off an AQ 12K. It's going into a 1995 VW Golf. Here is the box I have came up with...

After quick look I can tell you that your driver and bracing displacements are wrong, also your port area seems low, and your tuning seems somewhat high for a daily setup.

I was unable to find woofer displacement so i guessed big and kinda added the bracing to it. The person who wants the box wanted it tuned high for SPL use.

if it's for spl purposes, still need more port. actually more port is better for spl, try around 16

Here is a revised box calculation...

The web site asks for around 6 cubic feet. The box now sits at around 5 cubic feet. I didn't want to go any smaller internally.

this is not a cure all to the issues with the design, this is simply an example of what your should be around for your port. i used your exact dimensions with the woofer displacement. i didn't look at the net volume because i'm not designing the box for you.

should do fine. if the website recommends 6cubes though, are you over powering the sub? because more than rms = smaller. less than rms = bigger.
