alaskanzx5 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 ok im not a begginer and i did mean a half wall the only differance between a wall and a box is the beauty pannels... i want a "box" that goes below my window line to behind my front seats like a wall... but i still want to see out my back windows and be able to be behind my b pillar so i can still compete in street beat 3 when i compete in usaci though im currently in a meca only area... the box would have beauty pannels to seal the rear hatch so the bass wave doesnt get trapped behind the box... im looking at 4th firing forward maybe up if the numbers work out... ie where i need help so like my guess, a box that stretches from the front seats to the back of the hatch no higher then the bottom of the back window. that is still just another massive box. as far as sealing off the hatch with beauty panels making a difference i don't know. what you need to do is figure out what subs your are gonna be using then check to see if you can fit a 4th order correctly built for the sub to fit. from there i would test it then do the beauty panels and test it again to see if there was any sort of gain on the mic. as for firing foward or up i would say up with the port closer to the back window. the way the hatch lid slopes and the port firing off the back window could potentialy help direct it all toward the windshield(mic). if you gave measurement more people would be able to help out more. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

alaskanzx5 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 no seats out box formed to the rear just like a wall but only cut in half... no, seats out box formed to the rear below the back window and it would look just like a wall but only cut in half... ^^^ tried to make it sound better, dont think it worked. so we do understand what it is you looking for and what would be helpful is a list of what your using and max dimension for the box. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

alaskanzx5 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 i think he means something kinda like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km3hzdLlUBk&feature=channel&list=UL yes, kinda like that but even in that vid the guy was saying he wants to use a plexiglass window to seal it off from the back. unless the box is sealed off from the back half of the cabin. this would give it the same affect as a wall since it would be sealed off from the back. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

markbuhler007 Posted November 23, 2012 Author Report Posted November 23, 2012 Thats exactly what i want to do... or a full wall top half made of plexi... but due to the cost of plexi im looking to do somthing pretty similar to that box in the vid!
alaskanzx5 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 i would say you could do a 4th order with a pair of 10s or 12s maybe but 4th order take up a lot of space. 2 beffy 8s in a 4th order should work. people that can actually tell you if you could do a 4th order will need the max dimensions for the box though. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
