SnowDrifter Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 How much airflow does your amp get? Some amps give off some heat at 'idle' and if it doesn't get any cooling, it could certainly build up heat. I doubt wiring would cause anything if the volume is as low as you are describing. But I'll ask anyway: How are you wired? Have you double-checked with a DMM? And have you checked all connections? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
WillPwn4Food Posted November 24, 2012 Author Report Posted November 24, 2012 One of my grounds might be sketchy. I got one of those stupid ass stinger 0-gauge connectors (Ones that don't crimp. Just the allen wrench type screw) that wasn't completely flat on the connection. I'll be replacing that tomorrow to see if that fixes the issue. It doesn't get much airflow They're on the trunk liner (Really thin carpet-type stuff. You know.) so that could be a definite possibility. Up in the frozen north, the one works like a dream till it gets warmed up... Then it get's fuckin' toasty. Truconcept Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 u should be able to pull on ur ground without it moving at all it should be firmly secure **actin bad like a kid at six flags**

WillPwn4Food Posted November 27, 2012 Author Report Posted November 27, 2012 That's weird. I noticed it did play better once I turned it up as opposed to turni it down. Stopped cutting out. And why would dual 1's create a .7 load at the amp?
