is there a way to update some of the older headunits to do this??

EDIT: I'm just wondering because im currently using a CDA-9886 and want a 5th gen iPod touch...just for music playback

Alpine Does not do much with soft ware on regular radio that do not have an internal memmory drive. I think there is an update for the IXA-305SBT is all.
