so i have an american bass xd 8 that i want to put in. but i have very limited space for it

8x17x9 to be exact

for a sealed box this gives me an f3 of 57 which sucks because it will be playing 55 and down...

what ways can i fix this? or should i not really worry about a sealed enclosures f3?

Just off the top of my head:

1/2" wood and small allthread rod or resin vs just 3/4 (maybe a little more airspace)

Polyfill

already using .5" wood

and polyfill actually raised the f3

fiberglass enclosure, lest flat = more strength, about a 1/4" thick might work. also, you could build a remote enclosure, and run a tube from it to where the sub is to get the space you need. then you might even be able to go ported. where is it going, vehicle and location

how about a kick panel kind of thing

thats exactly what im doing

and the reason is for sq purposes. i want the bass to be up front with my front stage. and even better it doesnt have to be as loud since its so close

I did a 8" passenger kick in my truck, worked great, you could also go behind the glove bax. or if your nor against cutting, maybe a small enclosure under car, and floor as baffle
