ryanthebasshead Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 hey guys starting my biggest build and have a question. heres what i got 1) 2 lvl 4 dc 12s 2) mechman 270 amp alt 3)XS d1200 up front 4) 2 XS XP 2500 in the back 5) AQ3500 6) wire???? so here is my question. i know i will definitely need 2 runs of 1/0 gauge from front to back to power the amp. BUT, this is where I've heard different opinions . for my ground do i also need to have 2 runs going from the front to the back? or is it ok to ground it from the back? also i was planning on going with knukonceptz but I'm open for suggestions that would satisfy the needs of this build any help would be great thanks, Ryan
john253a Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 no just ground the alt/battery to chassis with the same as (+) and come back off it at the rear near new battery
graham0599 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 It's ok to ground to the frame in the back, but I'd suggest running at least one from front to back batts. I mean, I've never heard of too many ground My 350z build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/174424-2008-350z-build/page-2?hl=%2B350z+%2Bbuild#entry2605678
