JamieHoward
So I have been looking at some options for an entry level 7.2 setup and have decided on a receiver - Onkyo TX-NR616 looks to have all the features I want and fit the budget. Next I was looking at some in wall speakers and have priced out quite a few. I keep running across this Acoustic Audio brand that is obviously a Made-in-China and bulk distributed brand, but I can't see anything that would lead me to believe they are that horrible. Anyway, Long story short is I can get 6 in wall speakers consisting of 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter separates mounted to the wall plate and crossover for $129 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/...=item2ec3e3700c SO - in my research, these seem to be WAY cheaper than anything I have come across, but still with respectable specs. And I can find this brand being sold everywhere from Ebay to Newegg. The skeptic in me still seems to want some justification for wanting to try these out. Anyone ever heard of/ have any experience with this brand?
BobbyG2
That's a damn good price! I wouldn't trust them with any more than the power than the receiver puts out (I think the 250 watts max they list is way over inflated, MAYBE 60 watts) The best I could come up with from a brand I know and trust for a reasonable price is Dayton Audio. 2x http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=300-482 or http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=300-484 (The 4 speakers that come with them used as the surrounds) 1x http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-436&scqty=1 (^ Center) 1x http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-036&scqty=1 (Fronts) That will come out to $230 though. As far as sub amps go, you could go with a pair of http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=300-784 *New vehicle and system coming soon.*
JamieHoward
Yea, that's all I was planning on giving them. 100ish WPC is more than enough for my needs at home. Well I guess I will give them a shot. Worst case I'm out a hundred bucks or so. I will update you guys once it's done and in, but it will be a couple months. Gotta get through Christmas and such.
