JasonJones Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 Yes, you want to LPF your mids. I can't think of any way other reliable way other than a DSP or active crossover on the amp to accomplish what you want bro. Get a different amp? Cuz you'll have the same issue for your tweets too if that 2CH doesn't have a LPF.
aleroking Posted December 16, 2012 Author Report Posted December 16, 2012 i got it figured out the tweets will be hpf by the kicker kx3 crossover. im going to just lpf the mids them them naturally roll off the high end and eq any peaks where the tweets and mids combine if needed. 2 fi btl 18s on 2 crescendo 3500s walled in a 2dr 2000 alero build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141663-2-walled-btls-18-on-7k-in-a-2000-2dr-alero/
ds1919 Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 huh? so how are you gonna lpf the mids? couldnt understand. doesnt your HU have a built in DSP? Are you using a RCA splitter off of a HU out for your tweet amp and mid amp? why not a 4ch amp? many have all the hpf lpf in them..makes it easy. Fosgate 600.4 comes to mind, cheap.
