Problem with car starting

That's a good idea that way you can eliminate the power wire as the problem. If it's possible try hooking up the amp in another car and see what happens. Just a shot in the dark but do you have the remote+ on your amp hooked up to a 12v switched source (like your amp turns on when you turn your key to the on position) instead of remote out on a deck?

i can't really hook it up in another car, i'm literally leaving to drive to florida with my family (not in my car) to go on a cruise for the next 5 days at like 10:30 tonight, but no, i've just got my remote wire going to the headunit, and the amp will turn off if i put the head unit on standby, but other than that the amp is on.

Ok I was thinking maybe you were using a factory head unit or something and you where getting your rem+ from a 12v switched source and something funky was happening with the amp turning on at the same time you're starting the car but I guess that's not the case. I hope you get the problem sorted out, good luck!
